[viff-devel] Problems installing pyOpenSSL with Python version 2.6.1

Hi!

I'm probably going to use VIFF as a part of my master thesis, but a
problem have occurred when following the installation guide.

I've installed:
Python 2.6.1
Twisted 8.2.0
GMPY 1.03
OpenSSL 0.9.8j

I know the above are the latest releases (and not all according to the
recommendations at http://viff.dk/doc/install.html ), but it has worked
so far.

BUT, I can't manage to install PyOpenSSL. The latest version is 0.8 and
when trying to intall, it reports that Python version 2.5 is required...
Shouldn't it work with version 2.6 as well?

I see that eGenix.com have a version of pyOpenSSL that supports Python
2.6. Is this compatible with VIFF and all the other packages? Guess I'll
just have to try...

Best regards,
Håvard Vegge, Norway
